A close reading of the instruction book reveals that the display for "distance to empty" is a result of a calculation based upon the remaining gallons in the gas tank and the constant value of 28 miles per gallon. This makes no sense to me. If the computer is tracking the actual miles per gallon, why wouldn't the calculation for miles be made with this value? I have yet to reach 28 miles per gallon in fuel economy. I mostly get about 22. Could anyone explain the logic to me? Jeff New Jersey USA
