My 84 T16 now has around 230 BHP and 270 lb/ft of torque. The power bound goes from 2500 all the way to the red-line. In the last couple of weeks it has scalped everything going including a ferrari F355 last saturday (and yes the guy was trying since even on full throttle the only thing I could hear was his screaming v8). You can pick one of these engines up complete with trans for a grand or less. That means similar performance to the Rover 4.6 engine for a lot less money and hassle. Since you are doing a complete job you can afford to fit a decent intercooler as I have done. In hindsight though I think the 9000 aero cooler I used is about the biggest you could ever stick in the front of a 900, its probably overkill. Happy SAABing. Neil.
