I lost my car keys for the first time in years, while in a semi-remote location snowboarding last weekend. I called AAA Plus, the U.S. automobile maintenance club, of which I am a member. They had a locksmith to my car, a 1984 900 S hatchback, within two hours. The locksmith looked at the key code hidden inside the hatchback lock (very quick and easy procedure), and then cut a new, perfectly working key right there on the spot. It was free. End of problem. The locksmith said it's not quite so easy with just about any other car but a Saab. Thanks again, Saab! (Caution, other car manus may do this, and I've never had to have a locksmith replace a car key with my other cars...just glad this little episode had a very simple and fast resolution.) -jw -- john s. webster the vortext group -- writing svcs. 218 waterman st. #306c providence, rhode island 02906 email: jwebsnopsam.net ---------------------------------------------
