Dear Malcolm, Don't let the bastards rip you off - buy it back off the insurance company and get it repaired with s/h trim and a non dealer body shop. If it drives fine and is not an unroadworthy vehicle then keep it. Insurance companies just try to get away with paying out the minimum and they see any car over 5yrs old as near scrap. If it was not your fault don't accept the first offer of the other party's insurance company - argue your case - write letters and generaly keep on at them until you get a reasonable settlement. This is unfortunatley the trouble with the old 900's now - the 'book' price is sod all yet a 10 year old model with 100k is what I call a new car. The only way I can see out of this situation now is to get it them insured as a classic car and have the value agreed with the insurance company from the start. Good luck Johann
