ACTUALLY, IT'S MORE LIKE: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. WHY DO PEOPLE ALWAYS THINK THAT THEIR SAVING MONEY BY BUYING THESE SUBSTANDARD PARTS? I HAVE WORKED IN THE AUTOMOTIVE AND DIESEL INDUSTRY FOR 20 YEARS, AM AN ASE MASTER TECH, AND KNOW AN OLD SAYING IN THE INDUSTRY IS: PAY ME NOW, OR PAY ME LATER. I GET CUSTOMERS ALL THE TIME THAT GIVE ME THE LINE: "WELL, AUTOZONE HAS IT FOR ALOT LESS. AND JUST TO PROVE A POINT, I HAVE USED THE CHEAPER AUTOZONE OR PEP-BOYS PARTS. I GENERALLY GET A CALL WITHIN A MONTH, THAT THE VEHICLE IS HAVING PROBLEMS AGAIN. I'LL PUT THE QUALITY PART ON THE VEHICLE, AND NEVER HEAR FROM THEM UNTIL THEY NEED OTHER WORK. YOU JUST CAN'T EXPECT TO WALK IN A STORE, THAT PRICE IS THE ONLY MOTIVATOR, AND EXPECT QUALITY SERVICE FROM SOME KID OR OLD MAN THAT'S MAKING MINIMUM WAGE. HE REALLY DOESN'T HAVE ANY REASON TO WANT TO GIVE YOU GOOD SERVICE. HE'S ALREADY GOING THROUGH MORE CRAP THAN THE JOB PAYS TO BEGIN WITH. MY POST WAS NOT INTENDED REALLY TO FLAME ANYONE, MORE TO OPEN THE EYES OF THE PERSON MAKING THE COMPLAINT. YOU'VE GOT TO STOP AND THINK ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE AND WHAT YOUR TRYING TO DO BEFORE GETTING ALL HOT UNDER THE COLLAR.
