I had my car in for service at MVSC in Methuem, MA. They let me borrow a loaner while the work was being done. It was a 900 with auto and turned 3500 at 65 mph, just like you say. They good news is that this car has 257,000 miles on the odometer and still has the original engine and auto transmission. If you don't beat on it, your car could also last a long time. /Bob In article <20000222215443.01314.00000065nopsamk1.aol.com>, reis365nopsamcom (REIS365) wrote: > I bought 91saab a month ago..first problem was excessive HC reading(emission > test failed),spend $450 for new catalytic converter, then passed the emissions > test..Now another problem..when i' driving 35-40 mile rpm goes around 1800-2200 > rpm..in highway speed 65mph..rpm goes 3500rpm..I talked two different shop..one > mechanic told me my auto transmission going bad and need service...other > mechanic told me idle control valve might be problem..he gave me estimate total > $390 inculed part....I really like this car but in less then month lots of > problems..I like to keep my car good running condition ..any advice will be > very helpful...thank you...
