Are you sure we are talking about a 1999 9-5 SE? I ran a quick check on the Kelly Blue book site for dealer retail price (not trade in, but the price to expect on a lot) It came back with $33,500. That's more than I paid 15 months ago, although I got it at a steal via European delivery. The trade-in value came out to $28,000. That's using a Seaside, CA zip code, and 12,500 miles. My car is a manual also, so an automatic should be more. I'm not sure where you can get one for 23,000, that seems low, unless we are talking about a different trim level or a whole lot of miles.
