You will need a 5/16 or 8mm socket to undue the bolt/screws that hold the inner liner in place. Once you get that off, it sounds like you need to replace your water pump too. If the serpentine belt stopped moving or broke, it is because something is wrong. In April I had to replace the alternator and two weeks later the water pump. The water pump is not that hard. to replace. The adjustment for the serpentine belt will be right in front of you. You may want to check/replace your other pulleys. I have an 87 9000S.
