The "market" demanded a V6 and GM "gave" this one to Saab. The 2.5l V6 in the NG900 was an Opel (Germany) design. The 3.0l V6 in the 9-5 is an Opel (Vauxhall, England) design. I haven't looked this close to the V6 so I may remember wrong here, but I think the turbo is built into the exhaust manifold and does not have a wastegate.
