Could also be due to the waste gate valve sticking. If the valve does not open as required for overboost, then some mechanism cuts out the engine. With respect to the DI, if there is a problem here then it may start as occasional cut outs, but this gets progressively worse over a week or so until it goes completely dead. Johannes
