You need to remove the trim from the pillars, then the speaker grilles, then the whole top of the dashboard (the hidden fasteners are (a) in the glove compartment and (b) up inside the front of the display), then the ventilation ducting, then you can get at the bulbs (there are four). I tried it the other day, using a Haynes Manual as a guide, but (as I often find with Haynes), a key process was not adequately explained (removing the ventilation ducts), and so I ended up squeezing my hand down and changing the bulbs with my finger- tips. Luckily I didn't drop any of the bulb-holders... It is recommended that this procedure be carried out in the car-park of Halfords, so you can keep nipping in and buying the various odd tools you will need. I think there are two different sizes of Torx fasteners, a posi-drive screw and a couple of 9mm hex-head bolts (which cannot be accessed with a socket-spanner unless you take the windscreen out first). I hated this bloody job, but not as much as I would have hated paying Saab to do it. Good luck. ATB -- Mike 1989 9000S, 152,000 miles and counting
