I had a new Fiat Croma serviced some years ago (before the Saab), I collected the car and having arrived home I discovered that they had knocked the rear of the car. I went back immediately and confronted the garage manager with this (about 30 minutes after I had left the garage). He was very dismissive at first, then he played it down and said: "All cars will look like that after a while, just look around the yard here". All I got from them was a mechanic's attempt to knock the dent back out with a hammer from inside, still leaving a small crumpled area near the boot. Sometime later, this garage went out of business.
