On the 9000 at least, the timing chain begins to rattle at 110-120k, and must be changed (along with the sprockets and guides) and probably the cam balancer chain and guides too (whilst you are in the vicinity). If not changed, the timing chain will wear a hole in the timing cover and oil will escape = seized engine. In the UK this is an expensive (main dealer) job - £1100 approx (although the OEM parts come to less than £200).
