Peter Wilkins says... >That's not a problem here in Oz. Whenever you go over the speed limit by >10kmph, there is a brilliant white flash to remind you to slow down. That would drive me nuts, I really don't look at my speed that often around here when I'm on the interstate, I go with the flow which is usually 75-85mph. > >Actually, it's not the car design - it's from the automatic speed cameras >the Road Transport Authority have placed at the bottom of every hill, to >bring in millions in speeding fines revenue for the State government. They take photos of your plate number and mail you the fine? Our state has made it mandatory to have license plates on both front and back. So far I haven't complied, I have my Saab front plate that says "Find Your Own Road" and I love it. I'm waiting to get ticketed for that one.... > >It really is a problem - it's too dangerous to use the cruise control in >city traffic, and without it, it only needs a few seconds lapse in >concentration and YOU'RE GONE! That would really bother me, I could see how frustrated it would make a driver. ~J~
