Mercedes had to postpone the release and make modifications, this episode cost the company £100 mill. The modifications necessary for stability were said to make the ride rather un-Mercedes like, but I have never tried it. Now you can get a long wheelbase version extended some 20 cm to 3.77 m, still shorter than most super-minies. This car has the interior space of the S-Class. Whatever we may think, the car started a whole wave of short and tall vehicles. Johannes
