As my previous post stated, it appears that New England is the winner regarding the number of Saabs on the road. But, even here in the flatlands of Illinois, there are quite a number on the road. And, here in Champaign-Urbana, location of the University of Illinois, we have quite a number as well - Volvos too! Typical college town, I guess . . . We also have tons of salt spread on the streets and highways during winter in this area. In fact, many streets and roadways are white with road salt during winter. Although we certainly don't have copious amounts of snow as some parts of New England, we certainly have our fair share of snow and ice from December through March. I remember a few years ago, the snow was over the top of the gable of our house (18 feet) due to drifting snow. That's a real problem in this area, the terrain is so flat that the wind just never stops blowing and drifting the snow. Don Allen Urbana, IL
