Have had AMSOIL Bypass Filter on a couple of Saabs--do yearly oil analysis and filter changes. Only problem is mechanical--trying to get the thing hooked up. In the 900 turbo, plenty of room for the filter but limited access to the takeoff point. On my 9000T, I couldn't find a convenient spot to put the filter itself, so am resigned to annual drain.
