Chill, Bob. I don't think they meant it as a slam. If so, it is best to let it go. Most cars in Europe do not (used to not) come with keyless entry. Without keyless entry, this is impossible (automatic actuation). Power locks for a long time meant that the driver's door lock actuated the rest of the locks on the car and there was not a motor there.
