I've heard the "leak" story many times from folks who switched older cars. Whether it's the "cleaning" that the synthetic does of your old seals, or whether it hardens them, it doesn't really matter. For every three folks who switch it seems like one has major leaks. I don't argue against the benefits of synthetic, particularly in a turbo. BUT, I would not do it in an older car or a car with more than 50K miles. My .02, yours may vary, Bob
