I have a fault on the ABS/TC system on a '91 2.3T 9k with either the ABS or TCS light coming on (or both). I expected to be able to diagnose the fault by putting a switch on a diagnosis socket and reading off flash codes from the ABS light as outlined on the Townsend site. However, when I set out to try this I could not find the socket. Is the combined ABS/TC system different to the ABS alone and not have this flash code diagnosis capability? Is there just no socket (can I jumper across ECU connections), or have I just not found the socket? Any help would be much appreciated.... If I can't diagnose the fault, what are peoples experiences, what are the components most likely to fail (wheel sensors, solenoids, ecu?) and what are the symptoms for each? I know I'm asking a lot, but there is quite a lot of expensive components to replace without knowing where to start... many thanks David
