Quasimotor's excellent 9000 help page recommends the use of Bar's leaks to protect the coolant system. I haven't had any problems with the cooling system yet, I view this as preventative maintenance. My '96 9000CS 2.3 LPT has done just under 152,000km (143k km when I bought it Sept 20 2001). Its been well maintained and has a full service record. It had a dealer service and the coolant was changed at 142,091 km on the clock according to the service record. I bought some Bars Leaks, in the silver bottle yesterday ($10.95 NZ less than 5 bucks US). The instructions (and the guy behind the counter) say that you should renew the coolant when using Bar's Leaks, in case there's any gunk in the cooling system. Should I add Bar's now without flushing the coolant? What would you do? Any advice appreciated. -- Grand Poobah '96 9000 CS 2.3 LPT 150km
