Here is my personal experience in a 1994 9000CS. I swerved to avoid a large turkey in the road, hit a patch of black ice skidded and slammed into a jersey barrier (the long cement things) on the drivers side. Both air bags deployed, both driver's side tires went, rear axle was broken, windshield was smashed, and other damage. The passenger compartment was intact. I opened the door and walked out. Only damage to me was a cut on the head. The police and Emergency Medical Technicians both were amazed. There haed been a number of other accidents at that same spot that day and the day before and I was the ONLY one to walk away! Needless to say I immediately got another 9000.
