Hi all, I live downstate Illinois. I am in a dilemma and was hoping you could answer a few questions and give me some input. I will not hold you to anything except consider it as another option for me. In 1997 I bought a 1997 saab 900se 2.0 from a dealer that was about 30 miles from where I live. I had the car serviced there for everything. The dealer was great and honest. Well due to economic problems he closed shop a few months back for good. (I guess honesty was not the way to run a business) Since then I have been getting my oil changed locally (speed lube) but I am beginning to worry about other problems occurring now that I am turning 50000 miles. Or even just having regular services preformed. Now the closest dealer I can go to is in Indy 2 hours away. There are not any good service shops locally for my vehicle. So I have been feeling uncertain about keeping it. I love my car and want to keep it. I hear they get 200000 miles without any problems. What do you think and would do in my shoes? I should let you know it has been a great car. I like the practicality of it (fold down seats/hatch back, solid, peppy, comfortable, etc.) Do you think I should keep it even though servicing it will be difficult (let alone if something major happens to it and I have to have it towed a long distance to get it fixed) Or look at a different vehicle while I can get some money out of it? If you think I should get a different vehicle could you recommend another car that is comparable to it. thanks eric
