What, so you're different in person? You only save your outbursts for us? For some reason, I can't imagine them saying "Oh goodie, here comes Kenneth again to talk about why Saab designed something else wrong". > I find this kind of emotionalism very odd, when we're talking about a > car. You were given an extremely high estimate for a part, and I explained how ,no, this isn't just another Saab Conspiracy To Annoy Kenneth and that the dealer quoted you a very high price. I then went on to suggest a likely cause for him not wanting to be accommodating. > However, it's unlikely > that I will replace it with another one when I do come to trade it in. Too bad they didn't put the rotary engine in those, it could have been an interesting car. > But at least you validated the remark that I made originally about the > reaction of some in this news group to any criticisms of Saabs. What, that the dealer is either no good, or doesn't want to go out of his way to help you, for reasons that you're oh, so good at demonstrating? Don't blame Saab for your repair shop's failure to offer decent prices and/or understand the options for equivalents. You chose to present that as yet another way Saab is out to get you, when in reality you just chose the wrong mechanic, or one who doesn't want to be very helpful to you.
