It's most likely an earthing problem. The relays which control the pictogram lights compare the current flowing through the left hand and right hand bulb by passing it through two concentric coils in a relay. If the current is slightly different, it'll switch the relay. This can easily happen if the earthing isn't the same on both rear lights. Remove both the rear clusters, and clean up all the contacts. If that doesn't work, I fixed this on my 9k by running new earths to the bodywork. -- Grunff
