I thought he bought it in a broken state, but anyway... Is there a reason this can't be heli-coiled? It's not uncommon to fix stripped spark plug threads in aluminum heads - if it's good enough for that, I'd think it's fine for an oil pan. Might even be able to do it without taking the engine/tranny out of the car? Dave Hinz
