Might be worth asking if anything's available seperately -- one of my windows died last year, so I took it to a dealer and found out that they sold a "repair pack" kind of thing, which just had the most-frequently replaced bits in it for about 30 quid, instead of a whole new motor/regulator. I seem to remember that my problem was that one of the gears was stripped, so if it's the same problem you might be lucky... Sorry I can't be more detailed, but I was just in a hurry to get it fixed at the time (it was stuck a little way down, with rain on the way), so I didn't look into the specifics...
