I had to clock one of my cars legitimatley (old skoda Favorit). I bought a car with 46k on the clock, but a seized odometer. I had a new clutch fitted, which had a mileage dependant warranty. I then located a new dash with a working odometer, so I put that in my car. Unfortunatley I had to roll it back 20k miles, plus the few weeks driving I did. If I didn't alter the mileage to match, when it came to getting the clutch checked, it would have been out of warranty a week after I had it fitted (I don't do 20k miles in a week). -- The poster formerly known as Skodapilot. http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
