Our 1997 900SE auto has a vertical tube with a simple screw on cap, in the engine bay, an inch in front of the battery (towards the front fender, away from the firewall). Under the screw on cap is an aluminum/high-grade steel valve (like a tire stem; not brass). Today I noticed a hissing noise emanating from that tube. Question: What does this tube do/supply? Freon? Pressure release for something... ? TIA. -- J.E. Harris '01 9-3 SE '97 900 SE '88 9000T R.I.P.
