I'm driving a loaner '03 9-3 Linear right now, and I find it to be OK once wound up. But if you need power NOW, like to dart out into traffic from a side street, forget it. From a stop, mash on the gas, and nothing much happens for well over a second. The car starts to crawl forward but it's not until the turbo has wound up -- about 1- 1.5sec later -- that it really starts to move. First time I tried this, I nearly had a heart attack as the car dawdled along in front of the oncoming traffic. My 9-5 Aero also has about a 1.5sec delay to wind up the turbo, but at least it's a manual gearbox so I can start out from a stop more smartly. Still don't have to worry about squealing the tires, though. So tell me, how DO you drive a turbo? Just don't expect it to react for over a second?? Gary
