I'm one of those drivers who likes to know where he's going. I've got a 2000 9-5 and a Garmin Streetpilot (both used<grin>). I'm looking for a graceful place to put the streetpilot (horizontal display, about 6 inches by 2 1/2 inches (18 cm by 6.5 cm, roughly) in size. Drivers side on the dash near the left support column can obscure that part of the road, although it's possible that I can move it further towards me and to the left a bit more, so it's more in front of the column. Saab has made such economical use of the dashboard space that I have a few difficulties with the location. On the other hand, I have a mount for it that is absolutely no damage to the dash at all, involves a radar detector mount and some lucite plastic.... Not that it came with this, though. Opinions needed... If you were to install such a device (www.garmin.com if you're interested, streetpilot III seems to be latest, iirc, but this is not color, is just amber LCD backlit), where would you put it in the car?
