Hi, i finally got another transmission for my 9000T and now i have it on the bench and im cleaning it, already used 2 cans of brake cleaner to just get the clutch housing to expose some metal instead of the black gunk :) so i have 3 questions now, first is, the gearbox in my car right now is of the old style (-93) but it has the newer gear selector joint (the round one), seems that the previous owner put on the newer one when he replaced the gearbox. but the gearbox i have now has the old style rubber block thing, can i exchange that? i mean can i use the newer round joint on this gearbox? second thing, the gearbox just has this drive shaft "bell" on one side, on the other side there is just a shaft sticking out, is there one "bell" missing maybe, if yes, can i use the ones from my old gearbox? third : after washing down the clutch housing with brake cleaner i noticed some very very slight crunching noise at the bearing on the shaft where the clutch goes (input shaft?) i think i might have washed some dirt inside there, is there some easy way to take that bearing out, or should i just put some grease in there and leave it taht way? also should i replace that rubber o ring that is on that bearing, it looks a bit tired but maybe its not that important anyways? im happy for all hints, any other useful tips for the gearbox job, YES i WILL replace pilot, throwout bearing, inner and outer driveshaft boots and the clutch slave cylinder + complete clutch assembly, i dont really want to touch the crankshaft seal as i hear its awful to do. bye simon
