After my first foray into SAAB land with a 9000si. Ive just gotten a 9000CDE 2.3 turbo Auto and its very impressive in terms of performance over the I. Now I have driven both auto's and turbo's before but never in the same car, so the idea of using kickdown to increase the revs when going uphill or on a sweeping bend doesn't work too well as the turbo cuts in and the power zooms up. So I will have to modify my driving technique to tame the beastie a bit. Do any of the experienced auto turbo drivers here have any tips for a novice like me? Gotcha's would also be useful. Also when hitting the load pedal at cruising speeds the engine starts to shake a bit, is this normal or is this a known problem? Chris.
