My old reliable ride, an '88 9000T with 193K on the odo (bought from original owner in 1993 with 48K) is finally going to be retired. The car has had a lot of major work done in the past 3 years: heater core, master cylinder, parking brake system, fuel lines, AIC valve, 4 newish Hakkas, etc. It's rusting around the door edges and pillars, and has a nice big dent in the lower rear driver's side (below the trim) after a US Mail truck backed into it last year (right after I removed the rest of the collision coverage! - no structural damage there.

The headliner is sagging, one door lock solenoid is out, ditto the wiring to one power window. Needs a sun visor. The turbo seems good, still gets 33 mpg on the road, 26 mpg around town. Accelerates decently., doesn't burn much oil. Oil changed every 5K since forever. A/C inop., power antenna dead.

What to do with the car? Sell it on TSN? Give it to a friend who owns a small repair facility and see if he can sell it? (Potential insurance problem there, I think) It's been my daily driver, but I don't think it's worth very much. I just bought a "new" 2001 Aero CPO, so it's time to part with this one, I'm afraid. Ideas? TIA for your collective wisdom.
