I have to disagree with everyone that considers the 9-5 I4 a "rough idler". Mine has 212,000 plus miles and never has idled roughly. If a car is idling roughly, then it needs some work. That could be new plugs, ensuring hoses are all intact and connected, PCV working correctly, etc..)
