Thanks for all the responses.. I've had many other vehicles with more miles with no where nears these types of issues, but I know.. buyer beware and I knew from reading here that multiple horrors may be waiting.. so whatever,it is what it is..

I did the PCV 6 update this winter the same time I installed new head bolts and retourqued the heads due to an external and internal white smoke coolant leak (from plugs looked to be cylinder #4 steaming coolant) this seemed to do the trick as no more external or apparent internal coolant leak or coolant loss.

Just pulled the plugs they all look like they are burning nice, brown tips/electrodes all the same hue;

Put back together and started up and pulled PCV hose off from turbo tube and pulled the hose that connects to the "t" (goes back down to the oil trap around the throttle body) and that oil trap hose seems to be where I am getting the smoke from dipstick, no smoke from dipstick itself with hose disconnected but puffing smoke from the oil trap hose;

blew into the PCV valve to the dipstick, blows clear, tried to suck in, can't suck air back from dipstick through PCV valve

blew into hose going to oil trap, could not blow into trap.

all the while still smoking from exhause, no apparent bubbles or exhaust smell from coolant resoivoir..

Oil level is right where it should be, engine not tickling badly per say, always seemed a bit noisy but never had another saab to compare noise to, no oil light coming on at idle or reving in driveway, but timing chain may be louder than was, can't recall..

Any chance oil filter is clogged some hindering oil pressure causaing light to come on due to running it about 2 qts low on oil? but this still wouldn't answer smoke issue?

any chance mixing 1qt non synth 10-30 then 1 qt M1 10-30 with what was left of the M1 0-40 would cause exhaust smoking issues and blowby to the crankcase?

that's all I've done thus far..

since plugs look to be burning good, it doesn't seem to be burning the oil?

If rings were stuck forblow by, wouldn't plugs look sooty/oily? or not?

don't have a compression guage handy to check compression to see if rings may be stuck or toasted piston, but doesn't sound like it's misfiringor running rough overall?

still hoping for some miracle repair, but not overall optimisticgiven my track record so far.

any additional thoughts other than toasted motor? I'm in so deep now hard to throw it all away and not do anything?

thanks all..
