I'm in SE PA-it was $115 round trip (pre-paid call tag for the core). I drove to the ABF freight terminal where "the boys" helped be dangle it from a forklift into the back of the still driveable, 3 dr, recipient vehicle. Returning the core was "the reverse of receiving it" to paraphrase our favorite final,loaded,sentence of every R&R procedure. I'm sure that Nat pays the shipping on warranty stuff and he's better about the labor than most. You may think the time he will cover as warranty is a little light but he'll pay it no argument.

A good tech can handle the 5 speed no problem. Ask yours how many he's done and how many of his rebuilds he's done warranty work on. Automatics are another story. I doubt yours has the $40,000 test rig that Nat has. Not to say there isn't the occaisonal problem with one of his, but he'll stand behind it if there is. He also has come up with fixes for some fundamental design flaws in the auto that make them better than new IMHO. The sweetest shifting auto I've ever driven in an OG900 was the Eriksson Industries rebuild I put in an 86 Turbo for a woman I'm acquainted with.
I could barely feel the shift from 1st to 2nd with my foot to the floor.
