I have a 1980 Saab 900GLi hatchback it was an excellent car but unfortunately a few years ago I was in an accident and the right front is damaged. Since then the car has been sitting in my garage because I have not known what to do with it as it was not worth repairing because of its age and rust problems. I really liked the car and I spent many hours working on it. I know that I could have had it taken by a scrap yard or something but I felt this would be an unfitting end for a great car. I would like very much if it was used for something useful. I was wondering if any of you in my area, northern New Jersey would be interested in it? As far as I can tell the engine and transmission were not affected by the accident and it has many useful parts on it. I know that the front and rear windows for example are very expensive to get. Maybe someone has a project going on with a similar year car and could use the parts or someone needs an engine or just wants to play around with it. It would make feel good to see the car put to use by someone who appreciates Saabs and what they are about.
