I have tried everything to get the taper pin out of a transmission that I'm putting into my '85 Turbo. When I got the tranny the guy that dismantled it took a torch to the taper pin in order to get the rod disconnected from the tranny. There is very little left on each side of the main selector rod. I have tried a 48oz. Ball peen and I have broken two C-Clamps on the rod. The pin is completely siezed in the shaft. Does anyone have any other ideas as to how to get it out. I'm thinking I will have to drill it out. I have tried heating it with a torch and beating it for hours. I don't want to have to dismantle the tranny again as I just got finished with the rebuild. I didn't even notice the pin in the selector shaft until I had put two days into the rebuild. Just hoping someone may have another idea.....
