slave kit is ~$100. OEM 5 piece clutch kit (w/slave, etc.) is ~$140 (saabnet sponsor's prices). i'd say getting a new pressure plate and disk for 40 extra bones is a pretty good deal. also note that he got only 70k miles on the first clutch - from his standpoint, it's time for a new one anyway (though that's not alot of miles out of a clutch; maybe driving style or location have something to do with it.)

btw, the larger clutch Harold mentions is just the c900 turbo clutch, which is a bit larger than the n/a clutch.

last, if you are moving up from an n/a clutch to turbo clutch, then you may want to have the flywheel turned. at least, iirc, that's what the townsend imports page recommends.

last last, if i had a car with 155k miles on it, i think that throwing a new rear main seal in there at this time is a pretty smart idea, especially if someone's gonna lend you the proper tool. Harold's is now over ten years old and has seen many miles.

last last last, if you remove the flywheel, make sure you mark its position before you take it off. if you don't, then you'll be searching for top dead center in order to get the thing back on properly.
