fist of all, you can glue the curling trim back with a little epoxy & tape it back in position overnight.

same with glove box door. The padded skin just peels off by a strong hand tug. Once it's off, you'll notice that there are depression holes molded into the plastic underneath. If you have the infamous "bubbles", that's how they form. The adhesive degasses over time (I think) and creates pos. pressure in the space and "blows out" the skin. If you want to use the same skin, I'd suggest filling up the door holes with epoxy and sanding flat, then epoxying the skin to the door, using lots of masking tape to keep the edges clean and tight and weights to press the bubbles down while the epoxy sets. don't overdo it or the epoxy oozes out and makes for lots of cleanup work before it sets. funny thing is, I've noticed some doors bubble and some don't, not dependent on age. I suspect they went to a more "environmentally friendly" adhesive at some point & that's where the problems began, or maybe it's just climate or something.

I used epoxy and covered the foam skin in black leather and it looks and holds up great. also got rid of the silver striping and painted in the saab depressed logo red. very classy. wish I had a picture to show off.
