Lift up the rear seat - you will see a junction there and two unions where the brake lines exit the compartment at the right rear. Then look under car and you will see how they are attached there. You are only going the distance from the caliper to this "junction box".

You didn't say if you broke the left or the right. If right you need only go the few feet from caliper to the junction and as John B says you either flare the line yourself (not difficult with practice) or buy a prefab length with proper unions at both ends. Prefabs come in specific lengths: 12 inches, 18 inches, 3 feet and so on. Take in your old one so you can see if its the correct length and size of union eg metric versus sae - err a little long on length. By prefab I do not mean special prebent lines but straight lines you bend yourself - these can found at any decent FLAPS - they will likely rent you a tube bender, but I have used a dowel with patience.

If the left hand side - same deal but obviously you will need a much longer piece as it runs the length of the axle.

Use the old one as template for bending.

BTW you say it snapped at the clip holder on the axle - not an uncommon rust spot for brake lines, so check the other connection points as well. Have seen them "reattached" to axle with zip ties but if axle is not flaking you can just epoxy the holder back in place and line snaps into it.


Also worth checking all brakes lines to the front as well especially section where it runs the length under the kick panels on driver's side.

Good time to inspect floor integrity and to get to know your SAAB on a more intimate level.
