Thanks for the detailed description - no pics needed!! My holes ended up in the same spot as yours but my deflector doesn't quite sit right. I suspect it sat under some other stuff in someone's storage for a while and got squashed. The box it came in was squashed mostly flat in the middle and appeared to have been sitting in storage for a long time (curled paper).

If it doesn't spring up on it's own after a couple of days, I might try a blow dryer to gently reshape it.

The deflector really cuts down on the sun glare. The front lip of the sunroof sits so far forward that anyone in the front seat is usually blinded between 11 and 4 while it's open. As a result, we usually ride with it closed except early morning and late afternoon. Now we leave the sunroof open almost all the time.
