The belt dressing isn't going to fix old belts, but it might quieten things up.

But, you do need new belts.
You'll probably be happier if you let a Saab pro do these.
A first run at a complete belt change can be frustrating.

The AC belt isn't dangerous or anything - it's just that that is one belt that you can really goof up. It's high tension and hard to get tensioned.
BUT if you slip you can damage the closed freon system, and those chemicals are bad for the air and can hurt you if you get a face full of it

If you have very limited DIY experience, start with doing your own fluid changes, and by really looking around. Get under the car, a sheet of cardboard makes it easier to slide around under there, but you can buy little "creepers" on wheels to get around (I don't really like them unless I'm in a good garage).

A good set of ramps is fine for a 900.
Just get to know the car now.

While under the car, examine the rubber "boots", you'll find those near where the half axle goes to the wheels and on the other ends where they go into transmission assembly. You might see two smaller ones going into the steering rack - follow the steering linkage to the middle of the car and you'll see them - they're a bit smaller than the CV boots (the ones on the drive axles).

If any of those are ripped or damaged, they need a close look and proper repair.

Auto repair isn't as difficult as it appears - if you KNOW what to fix.
But you need tools, start with a basic kit as suggested, but don't buy the cheapest set out there or the most expensive. Many of us probably started with a Craftsman set from a big Sears sale. You need a couple sets of wrenches (at least 2 of 10mm & 13mm to start) and you only need metrics.

You need patience, and confidence that you'll figure it out to DIY.
COnfidence comes with familiarity and starting with the simple stuff.
DIY can give you big smile when you get the confidence.

Good luck with it.
