Currently, the rest of my setup is in need of an upgrade (except for the subwoofer). Although it certainly sounds pretty amazing to your average person, when I compare it to my home stereo it doesn't even come close, so I see much room for improvement.

The front speakers are Boston Acoustics CX4 and the rear speakers are Eclipse 6x9. The fronts are currently being powered by the head unit, and the rears run off a separate 55w x 2 RMS amp. In the furute I intend to convert both front and rears back to component 4in/6.5in + tweeter setups. Of course, a separate amp for the fronts is also in order. I keep the mid and low bass rolled off from all the main speakers, which greatly improves the clarity and dynamic range, and also makes the low power from the head unit sufficient for now.

The real strength of my current system is the subwoofer setup which consists of a single Audiobahn (Alum10) aluminum 10" dual voice-coil driver with each channel from a a 150W x2 RMS amp separately powering each voice-coil, in a small sealed enclosure. This subwoofer provides some of the cleanest, tightest, deepest bass I have ever heared. I would HIGHLY recommend Audiobahn subwoofers. My friend and I split the cost of two in a "buy one get one free" sale for Audiobahn products. We ended up paying $190 for two, so we each got a 10" driver for $90 apiece!!

My empty DIN slot is currently occupied by a VDO vaccum/boost gauge and a cooling fan for the head unit. Eventually I will also add a oil pressure gauge.

The car is an ever evolving project, a money vaccum really, but I love it anyway...
