On the reality side, there is such a thing as radar absorbing paint, but it's not going to work for you. It's a very thick paint with embedded particles. It is NOT used on aircraft because of weight and drag.

Stealth aircraft are stealty not because of paint. It's because there are no straight edges, no gaps, no flat surfaces. The amount of effort going into giving them a low radar signature is huge. Even a small gap of a few tenths of an inch creates a huge radar signature.

Paint on your car won't help. As others have mentioned, you'll need to modify the radiator. Car and Driver did a test a few years back and found that tilting the radiator back a few degrees helped. But you'd have to clean up EVERY seam and flat surface.

Seeing as how this is a hard job for some very experienced folks with some very expensive test equipment, I doubt you'll have much success. And your only test method is to drive past cops fast and see if they chase you. Talk about expensive testing!

Of course, this does you no good when they switch over to Laser systems. And nothing will help with being trailed by unmarked cars.

I live in Connecticut, where radar detectors were illegal, but no longer are. Cops still use radar, but most are equipped with instant-on laser systems. They also have a fleet of unmarked cars. These aren't just grey Crown Vics without lightbars - they have Camaros, Chevy and Ford SUVs, and a variety of other Not Cop Looking unmarked cars. And, oh yes, aircraft.

I don't bother with a radar or laser detector. That may help on a few occasions, but the cops have such a wide array of 'weapons' I don't have a defense for.
