Although that intake pipe looks pretty on the Abbott site (I was actually quite interested in one myself), after I posted about it and read the responses, I decided against it. That's just like c-d rotors. I tried them, and was completely disgusted with them after 5K miles (finally got rid of them after 10K), even though they're touted as being better performing (NOT!). I'm not saying that the intake pipe is useless; I'm just saying that research is the best policy before making any mod to your vehicle. Word of mouth (through experience) is absolute!

I'm a little confused with your previous response:
"The performance that you are getting from your car is what I was expecting from mine.....all except leaving the Aero in the dust. Mine for some reason or another was a rocket, ran at what I would say is beyond the high end of max spec. The boost would stay at the end of the red in every gear. It ran like that for 50k until a giant truck decided to test the cars structural integity. This is my 6th Saab, but, first to modify."

When you say "...expecting from mine...", does that mean you have never had any improvement in performance since putting in the upgrades?

"Mine for some reason or another was a rocket...". Is this referring to your CSE with upgrades or your Aero? Which vehicle met its match with a truck?

I am quite surprised that you noticed anything from installing an upgraded cat-back system. The turbo is still choking on its own exhaust by trying to breath through a 2.25" dp. What diameter is your upgraded system? How/where did you find an adapter to hook up to the stock dp (if the diameter increased)?

I love my JT system. I have the complete 3". Sounds like oem until you lay into it. Noticeable improvement on the first drive out with it. That was when I then added the re-mapped ECU from BSR.

As much as Abbott's stuff is awesome, there are a lot of other supplier's out there with mods for our cars for a lot less $$. Always shop around and ask the board for experiences with products/suppliers.

Upping base boost will NOT give you more boost. It only raises the boost of what the turbo will put out during "limp-home" mode. It actually is not a wise thing to do anyway. The engine is tuned for a specific amount of boost when the turbo is at base-boost, as well as what the turbo should be at during those times. It should be set to .47 or .48 bar (which is the max boost Saab recommends for the T25). This is just like the idea that a higher-performing BPV will give more power--nope!

And #5 should be a huge MUST-DO on your list. That alone could easily destroy you DI cassette...
