If the blower is running too slow, one of two possibilities - a problem with the blower, or it's not getting enough current.

There are two parts to current flow - the source, which is through the controller (transisitor) on Quasi's page. It's there somewhere. The other part is the ground connection for the blower. That current has to go somewhere.

You could be really unlucky, and your new blower could be defective. But more likely, I would guess that you have a bad electrical connection in the system. This connection could be at the ground point, or anywhere in the system (unfortunately). If the connection is poor, it will limit the amount of current to drive the motor. With your new motor, this means running slow. Now, it takes a lot more current to start a motor moving than to keep it moving (startup current). IF there is a poor connection, it's possible that your first blower motor required more startup current than the poor connection could provide, so it never started. If you could have somehow reached in and given it a twirl, it would start running, albeit slowly. Your new blower motor may require a little less startup current (newer bearings, etc), so it can run, but never goes very fast.
