I recommend that you drop the horizontal plastic panel just behind the air dam, on the right hand side, just forward of the wheel. With the panel off, you'll see the tank, but more importantly, you'll see the splitter/ one-way valve - it's a little plastic "Tee". That is most likely where the leak is. The diaphram in the Tee springs a leak, and you weep out lots of fluid. You can buy the Tee for more than reasonable bucks at the dealer, for a few bucks mail order, and some folks have fixed them with a little rubber from a rubber glove. But that's the most likely leak spot, not a hole/crack in the tank.

The only problem you may/will run into is that the bolts holding the plastic underbody cover on usually rust into the captive nuts, making disassembly hard and reassembly harder. I usually end up ripping out the old captive nuts to get it apart. I then go down to the hardware store and pick up some drywall fasteners - those plastic expansion anchors and associated screws (10's, I think work).
