Well, I feel like an idiot.

Why?

I was at the distributor getting some beer for a massive cleanup today, as we're trying to eradicate a flea problem from our cats and our house. Anyways, there's a truck in front of the distributor, so I decide to back up on the sidewalk. Unfortunately, I had missed spotting a concrete slab sticking out of the ground with four screws pointed upwards. I backed right over it, catching just enough of it to bend my muffler back and poke some holes. Something was leaking, I'm unsure what. I don't think I punctured the gas tank, thank god, but it doesn't look good. The muffler needed replacement, so I'm fine with that, but can anyone tell me what it appears I'll have to replace and how difficult of a job it is? I'm a college student with not much money and not much DIY experience, but I'm going to have to do it myself.

Any help is appreciated if you can take a look at these pictures. It's an '86, if that makes any difference.
